Cellulite (orange peel skin) –
a real problem for women
What causes cellulite?
Cellulite, also referred to as orange peel skin, affects almost
80 % of all women and almost exclusively affects females. The
reason is the special structure of female skin and its reactions
to female hormones: women’s sclera is more elastic and
a lot less rough than men’s. An increasing amount of fat
cells and collagen fibers develop in women’s underlying
skin tissue in a parallel pattern (in mean, the pattern is net-like).
This allows growing fat cells to push through collagen fibers
more easily, allowing them to become visible on the surface
of the skin. This creates the bumpy skin surface on the affected
areas of the body.
The fact that women tend to have fat depots most likely on their
thighs and buttocks can be attributed to the effects of estrogen.
What can women do to prevent cellulite?
Factors that foster the development of cellulite are diets rich
in fat, lack of exercise, stress, smoking and hormonal fluctuations.
Genetic factors, such as a weak connective tissue structure,
do play a role as well.
In other words: Reduce fat deposits and get
lots of exercise!
Anti-cellulite treatment
Surgical procedure – vibration liposuction using a
micro suction needle
In the treatment of moderate to extreme cellulite, liposuction
of the affected area (upper thigh or buttocks) has proven to
be highly effective. Using Dr.Dr. Preissner’s application
of vibration liposuction based on the Tumeszenz method (liposuction
under local anesthesia using a vibration needle), more than
80 % of the cellulite affecting these areas disappears permanently.
During the procure, fatty tissue is suctioned from the underlying
skin tissue with the assistance of a very thin needle
(see liposuction),
the beehive-shaped depot fat is gone and the related activation
of the body’s own collagen production (skin smoothers)
leads to skin that is smooth, does not have any dents and appears
to be virtually cellulite free.
Anti-cellulite treatment
Surgical procedure – injection lipolysis
Good results in the treatment of cellulite can also be achieve
with injection lipolysis. A precisely defined amount of an active
ingredient called Phosphatidylcholin (PPC: natural preparation
from the soy bean) is injected directly into the fatty tissue
in small doses at scheduled intervals and at a certain injection
depth. As a result, the fatty tissue begins to melt away within
just a few days. The elimination of the fatty deposits is accelerated.
After 3 - 4 applications administered in intervals of 6 - 8
weeks, good results can be attained and the beehive-like structure
of the skin caused by cellulitis disappears.
Anti-cellulite treatment – non-surgical
Various non-surgical cellulite therapies are available
on the market for the treatment of mild to moderate forms of
cellulites, which range from the Balancer Therapy (lymph drainage
principle) to endermologie treatments. Scientifically accepted
endermologie treatment uses a special device that mobilizes
the tissue three-dimensionally. This strengthens the collagen
givers, results in improved blood circulation and causes the
lymph nodes to drain, minimizes the size of fat cells and increases
the elimination of fat.

Is
there anything
that really helps? |
 |
Forget promising creams, expensive cellulite
products and massage devices.
They do not help!
Weight reduction and plenty of exercise will lead to the reduction
of the engrossed fat cells.
Last resorts with a proven record
of success are liposuction and injection lipolysis. |
