Upper Arm Lift
Large volume excess skin on the upper arm may develop after
liposuction, but also after consistent weight loss, after pregnancy
– or depending on your physical constitution – as
you grow older. The skin looses its elasticity, fat is redistributed.
The consequence is that fatty skin parts start to droop in synch
with the force of gravity. When you stretch out your arms, the
section of upper arm skin may droop. Many people have a hard
time living with unattractive drooping skin/fatty overhangs.
The solution indicated is an upper arm lift, during which drooping
and hanging skin parts are removed surgically. This operation
is usually performed as an out patient service under complete
anesthesia.
The surgical scar which remains on the inner part of the upper
arm is barely visible a few weeks after the surgery.
